LMS Time Capture Methodologies: Mobile Entry

Our theme over the last few weeks has been Make Time for Timekeeping, and mobile entry helps us tweak that concept a bit today.

Mobile entry helps us find time for timekeeping!

Offering access to applications such as LMS+ WebTime and iTimeKeep, mobile devices allow us to enter and track time almost anywhere, anytime.

For example, Rippe & Kingston Clients can connect to LMS+ WebTime ‘on the go’ using a mobile device with the same URL that they use to access the system today!

Bellefield's iTimeKeep is another option that allows Rippe Clients to enter time from a mobile device with real-time access to the Client Matters and Task / Activity codes.

With the download of the iTimeKeep app and its integration with LMS, time can be entered directly from your mobile device into WebTime – all while using the simple and intuitive user interface of iTimeKeep.

Over the years, the iPad (or smart phone) has become a portable computer that helps us manage daily activities.  Being at a desk in the office is no longer a requirement for effective timekeeping.

With mobile entry, entering & tracking time has never been easier!

LMS Time Capture Methodologies: WebTime Timers

Have you considered all of the ways that Rippe & Kingston's LMS software can assist you in enhancing your Firm's timekeeping?

We discussed Full Day Accounting last week, and we're talking about LMS+ WebTime Timers today!

WebTime Timers are convenient and easy to use.  They allow you and your Attorneys to conveniently track time for specific Clients and Matters.

You can access WebTime Timers from the tabs in WebTime and have the option to start a timer, run multiple timers, and/or switch timers.

There’s also a Retro-Start timer button that allows a user to start a new timer as of the end of the last paused or stopped timer.

If you're not using Timers already, it's very possible that you should be.

LMS Time Capture Methodologies: Full Day Accounting

To continue our Make Time for Timekeeping discussion from last week, we’re talking about Rippe & Kingston's Full Day Accounting.

Yes we’ve mentioned it before, and it’s simply because we cannot stress its importance enough.

Timekeeping is a discipline, and Full Day Accounting requires the Attorneys to account for the entire day (Billable and Non-billable).

Full Day Accounting allows Attorneys to view their entire day at a glance.   The timekeeper can ensure that there aren’t gaps in the day that are actually billable.  The example above clearly shows that the Attorney has not yet entered time (very likely that it is billable time) for certain parts of the day.

Full Day Accounting is an effective method for capturing time that should not be overlooked!

LMS Time Capture Methodologies: Make Time for Timekeeping

Many of you might agree that capturing time is a core underpinning of your Firm’s success, and it’s not always an easy task for timekeepers to tackle.

Timekeeping can be a struggle for anyone, no matter how diligent they are.  The busier one gets, the harder it is to remember to keep track of his or her time successfully.

One of the keys to effective timekeeping is to make it a priority Firm-wide.  Maybe even reward good timekeeping with small incentives.  It just might be worth it!

Of course, Rippe & Kingston’s LMS software can help make timekeeping easier, too.

Implementation of the LMS Time Capture Methodologies that your Firm is not using already might be the source to more BILLABLE time.

Keep Reading!  Over the next several weeks, we’ll draw upon and discuss several tools within Rippe’s LMS that can aid YOU with time capture.
