Friends with benefits?!?
You may not consider your credit card companies your friends, but they
can certainly offer benefits!
In addition to the convenience of paying vendors with credit
cards, most credit card companies now offer points and/or rewards for each
dollar your Firm spends.
Has your Firm ever considered making use of those points to
the Firm’s advantage?
One of our Client Firms that pays some of its vendors with
credit cards and uses the accumulated points in a very creative manner – with a
HUGE payback!
In this case, the Firm had some Attorneys that were
consistently late in submitting time. The
Firm decided to use their accumulated points for gift cards as an incentive for
those entering their time on time – at no extra cost to the Firm.
Guess what happened?
While they were skeptical about the gift card program working, the
results were astonishing. Many of the
Timekeepers made a much improved effort in getting their time recorded on a
timely basis in order to qualify for the rewards cards.
Now, everyone’s happy – the Firm gets more time recorded in
a timelier manner (and probably more billable time, since it is timely) and the
Attorneys receive gift cards!
So, if you are trying to motivate the staff to submit
billable hours on time, this just might be a solution for you to consider!
