Legal Management Systems: Imaging = Efficiency = $$


Are you tired of the overflow of papers on your desk or having to produce supporting documentation for Clients?  Have you considered imaging them? 


Imaging is the process of scanning and electronically archiving documents (e.g., Accounts Payable invoices, Expense Report Receipts, Daily Cash Receipts detail, Vendor W9s) as PDFs or TIFs.  

 

Imaging can eliminate the stacks of invoices, checks, and other files…and allows for easy retrieval anytime.


Today, Rippe & Kingston’s LMS has integrated imaging into its software by allowing the scanned images to be associated with the correct voucher, vendor, check, Client Advances, etc.  Once linked, there are several places to retrieve the images:

  • LMSV General Ledger Inquiry 
  • LMS+ Client Matter Inquiry 
  • LMS+ GL Details 
  • LMSV Check Maintenance 
  • LMSV Check Inquiry 
  • LMSV Vendor Maintenance

It might seem like a slow, and possibly daunting, process to transition from filing (paper copies) to imaging (electronic copies), but well worth it!  


In the end, it’s more efficient…and we all know that efficiency equals $$.
