2015: R&K's Year in Review

Rippe & Kingston has proven to be a stable force in the Legal industry for over 35 years, and 2015 was yet another BIG year of successes!  It has been an exciting time – the new enhancements, the achievements, and the growth – all exceptional.  R&K wants to thank you for being a part of an extraordinary year!

 As the #1 Legal Financial Management System in the Cloud and with almost 250 Client Firms across the nation, R&K’s notable reputation has continued to spread.  Existing Clients have provided glowing reviews and continue to recommend LMS to their surrounding Firms (THANK YOU!).  The Client testimonial participation has been phenomenal, in which Clients have shared amazing success stories regarding their conversions, installations, LMS functionality, service, and more.  Both the referrals and testimonials are evidence of the remarkable relationships that the R&K staff enjoys with its Clients.

Rippe & Kingston’s Client base exploded across 23 cities and 17 states in 2015.  R&K welcomed over 35 new Clients, adding almost 2,000 Timekeepers to LMS – making it a record year.  R&K’s growth is a testament to what has set it apart from the competition.  To accommodate the growing Client family and uphold its recognized quality support, R&K hired several new employees as well.  The R&K staff, comprised of 65+ employees, has been very successful in providing industry leading service that builds long lasting relationships.

Maintaining a connection through industry tradeshows was also a continual priority last year.  The R&K Marketing team attended each of the national conferences (i.e., ALA, LegalTech, and ILTA) and participated in 29 local ALA events.  R&K’s rapport with the ALA is especially strong.  Jay Erdman has been invited to speak at both regional and national conferences, and R&K Law Firm Client users include three Executive Directors that have served as ALA National Presidents.

The focus on R&D (LMSV and LMS+) in 2015, as it has been for the last several years, is strategic to keep Firms competitive in the legal marketplace.  R&K successfully implemented the 2015 New Versions to 95% of Clients, and significant preparations are already under way to roll out the 2016 CSP Version.  Highlights of the LMS upgrades include enhancements regarding Workflow/Paperless Efficiencies, Business Intelligence and Reporting, Profitability, Browser Based Interfaces, Distributed Billing with Collaboration, Electronic Billing, and CRM.

Significant Cloud infrastructure changes and new technologies were also implemented over the course of the year.  Benefits include increased storage, performance, and reliability.  We completed our first Cloud infrastructure Penetration Testing and passed with flying colors.  With already more than half the R&K Client base on the Cloud model, almost 20 existing Clients moved from their in-house servers in order to experience the many advantages that the Cloud offers (e.g., IBM Server Upgrades, Redundant Infrastructure Upgrades, New Storage Technologies (SANS), Multiple Internet Providers, Internet Failover Technologies, Disaster Datacenter, Data Replication between the two Datacenters, Citrix to RDP Migration, BCS / Backup Automation through Cybernetics).

R&K has had one successful 2015 and is eagerly taking last year’s momentum into 2016!!!  Happy New Year!
